I just dont see why Dr_Watson, Ryusaki, and the rest of the staff cant realize the problem with the wiki... They say that we shouldnt demote those who are on and not working. They dont see that there are people who are on wiki staff that havent gone on the wiki in MONTHS. I think there needs to be a reality check given to the members of this site...
Dr_Watson says that the wiki is in its early stages, yet its been up since February and the amount of members on staff seem to contradict it as well. He says thinks that makes me imply that the card section of the wiki is not an important part of the wiki when the help section that is posted in his own words defines Janime Wiki as a wiki for "all things YuGiOh!" in which the cards qualify.
The staff seems like they are just sweeping the whole incident under the rug. By incident, I mean the wiki. As stated previously, there are members that are on the wiki that I have not seen work on it at all within the last few months. I understand that they probably have lives outside of the wiki, but I see them on the forum, but not on the wiki, I'm left to wonder: "why are they still on staff"?
As far as the cards go, I understand that people may favor the anime sections on an Anime and Manga forum, but there's a whole section of the forum that has people that deal with cards. I personally think its time for recruitment seeings as its only me and occassionally TDM and Min working on the cards.
One last thing regards the members registered on the wiki. When I see the member list on the wiki, I see quite a few people who arent on wiki staff that are on there which suggests to me a time when anyone could join the wiki and work on it. Now im not going to name any names, but there are a few members who caused trouble on Janime who are also registered on the wiki. I know that the chance that they would come back and vandalize the wiki is slim, but it still is there...
Now, I want to thank you for listening to me rant (yet again
) and I want to advise you that this in no way is a dig on the staff at Janime or any of the members. I just figured I would post how I feel since it is clearly being misconstrued in the forum issue posted in the suggestions topic.
